Classroom management at Caperberry High School in NSW can be a challenging proposition for graduate teachers. When the right balance is achieved, it can also be immensely rewarding to connect with students, engage them in your lessons and know you have made a difference.

This website has been created at the request of the principal of Caperberry High to assist graduate teachers in meeting this challenge. There are a huge number of resources and theories available regarding the use of positive practises in behaviour management. Rather than attempt to cover them all, this website will offer an overview of some practices that have worked for me personally at this school.

This resource is designed to address AITSL Professional Standard 4 (AITSL, n.d.), which relates to the management of individual students and the class as a whole.
